Mirzapur 2 - 'Outshines' its predecessor !!!
A lot many would think what the hype around launch of Mirzapur 2 was, considering the fact that the first season was at best a familiar gangster drama with its share of violence and bloodshed with some good acting being the key notable factor.
But after sitting through Mirzapur 2 it isn't a surprise if you feel that it's notches above its predecessor in terms of its class and content. The making is top-notch, the background score remains superb and you have a good and intense plot presented quite well with revenge and betrayal being the backbone of its theme. The key notable factor is the time they've invested for developing the multiple traits of the key characters which becomes even more significant considering the fact that there are very few positive characters in the narrative. Another surprising element is the bit of subtle humor they've tried to bring in to the narrative albeit at very few places.
Lead by Pankaj Tripathi, the core cast continue to rock and put up a pretty impressive show on offer. The star though is Divyendu Sharma as Munna Bhaiyya whose character has been given a lot of traits and he goes about portraying the insecurities, the frustrations and the little bit of good nature inside the character to great effect. The new additions to the cast including Isha Thalwar, Priyanshu Painyuli as Robin and Anjum Sharma as Sharad Shukla deserve a special mention for their performances.
Keep your kids away and make sure you watch Season 1 before you start off with this. You are in all likelihood going to enjoy this gripping drama !!!
